Welcome to the world of toddlers! This is an exciting stage of incredible growth, energy, and curiosity. Our Toddler Time program is designed to channel that energy into exploration, discovery, and hands-on learning. We embrace your child’s drive for independence and have created a safe, supportive environment where they can confidently try new skills.

Our program balances group structure with individual choice. Through purposeful play and hands-on activities, we help toddlers build their vocabulary, learn to solve problems, and begin to build their very first friendships.

Your Toddler’s Day

Your Toddler’s Day

Movement is key! A toddler’s day is filled with activities that keep them active, engaged, and learning. The daily routine becomes more structured, helping them feel secure by knowing “what comes next.”

We start with welcoming circle times filled with songs and stories, followed by learning “centers.” Your child will rotate through stations for art, block building, puzzles, and dramatic play. Outdoor playtime is a fundamental part of the day, allowing them to run, climb, and build their gross motor skills. We also incorporate potty training, working in partnership with you to make it a positive and successful experience.

Key Developmental Areas

Our approach goes beyond simple care; it focuses on your baby’s whole development during this foundational stage.

Cognitive Development

A toddler’s brain is like a sponge. We introduce foundational concepts through play. They begin to identify shapes, colors, and count objects. Simple puzzles encourage problem-solving, while building blocks teach them about balance and cause-and-effect. We nurture their curiosity with open-ended questions like, “What do you think will happen if…?”

Language & Communication Development

This is the “language explosion” stage. Our vocabulary-rich environment supports this with songs, rhymes, and countless stories read as a group and one-on-one. We model sentence-building and help your child move from using single words to expressing their ideas and feelings. They learn to listen to peers and take turns speaking during group activities.

Motor Skill Development

Toddlers are refining their coordination. Fine motor activities, like stringing large beads, finger-painting, and using utensils at mealtime, strengthen their hand muscles. For gross motor skills, our playground offers space to run, jump, throw balls, and use ride-on toys, developing balance and spatial awareness.

Social & Emotional Development

At this age, children begin to see themselves as individuals but are also learning how to navigate interactions with others. It’s the beginning of “parallel play” evolving into cooperative play. We guide children through the challenges of sharing and taking turns. We help them put names to their big emotions (like “frustrated” or “excited”) and teach them appropriate ways to express them.
